Thank you for visiting the Website of “Travelling Ionospheric Disturbances Forecasting System” (T-FORS), which is operated by National Observatory of Athens (NOA) / Institute for Astronomy, Astrophysics, Space Applications and Remote Sensing (IAASARS) as “the coordinator” of the T-FORS project. Please read carefully these Terms of Use because by using this Website you are deemed to have accepted them. If you do not agree to these Terms of Use, please refrain from accessing this Website. The T-FORS Consortium reserves the right to amend these Terms of Use from time to time. The amended text of Terms of Use will be posted on the Website.       

  1. Intellectual and Industrial Property Rights of the T-FORS Consortium

The T-FORS Consortium is the exclusive owner of all copyright, database rights, intellectual property and industrial property rights over all the elements and contents of the Website. All such rights are reserved by the T-FORS Consortium and are protected by the provisions of EU laws and international treaties. Access to any information, archive and element posted on the Website (including but not limited to texts, graphics, photos, images, videos, databases etc.) is permitted only for personal, educational or research purposes. If you write any text (academic or research paper) or you make any public announcement using information from the Website, you must cite the Website as your source. It is forbidden to copy, download, reproduce, republish, upload to other websites, transmit, upload to a server, distribute, perform to the public, modify, create derivative works and in general to exploit in any way, either wholly or in part, any element of this Website without the written permission of the T-FORS Consortium. The trademarks, logos, brands, trade names, distinctive titles contained in the Website, where registered or not, are owned by the T-FORS Consortium and are protected according to the law. Nothing herein shall be deemed to confer on the user a license to use the above trademarks and/or distinctive marks, any reproduction or use of which is strictly forbidden.

The T-FORS Consortium makes every effort to ensure that the Website is accessible for 24 hours a day. However, the T-FORS Consortium will not be liable if‚ for any reason‚ the Website is unavailable or if the connection is interrupted or faulty. The T-FORS Consortium does not guarantee that the Website will be secure. Please confirm that your electronic equipment is free from viruses and in excellent condition.

  1. Quality of Information Disseminated and Limitation of Liability

The T-FORS Consortium will do everything in its power to secure the quality of information disseminated through the Website. However, the T-FORS Consortium does not fully guarantee the accuracy, completeness or reliability of the data due to the great volume and the particular characteristics of the data contained on the Website. The Website provides information and data on an “as is” basis; therefore, the T-FORS Consortium will not be liable for any direct or indirect loss which may arise from information which is inaccurate or incomplete. In addition, the T-FORS Consortium is not responsible for any violation of intellectual property rights or other third party rights concerning information or material illegally/unethically posted on the Website or posted by unauthorized natural persons or entities. The T-FORS Consortium, its executives, employees and subcontractors decline any and all liability for any loss (direct or indirect) which may arise as a result of your access, use or inability to use the Website. The T-FORS Consortium reserves the right, at its discretion: (a) to make alterations to the Website from time to time, without prior notice, even if the access to the Website is temporarily interrupted, and (b) to disable access to the Website, either wholly or in part, and/or to remove any archive, element or information contained on the Website. All the above limitations of liability apply to the fullest extent permitted by law.

  1. Prohibited uses of the Website

Users must not use the Website or any of its areas in any manner, which at the discretion of the T-FORS Consortium, is improper and/or violates EU laws. Prohibited uses of the Website include but are not limited to the following: (a) Acts which violate the intellectual and industrial property rights of the T-FORS Consortium over the Website. (b) Acts which violate either the privacy right of a third party (such as the unauthorized disclosure of personal data) or other legally protected third-party rights. (c) Any unauthorized access or attack to the Website, such as introducing viruses or other malicious material to the server which hosts the Website. In case the access to certain areas of the Website is granted only to subscribers or authorized users, the T-FORS Consortium reserves the right to cancel access to any user account, if it believes that the user has breached the law and/or the present Terms of Use.

The Website may contain links to external websites operated by third parties. The T-FORS Consortium does not have control over these websites and therefore is not responsible for the availability, content, advertisements, goods, services or any other material contained on or available through external websites.

  1. Applicable law

These Terms of Use, any amendment thereof and the use of the Website are subject to EU law. Any claim arising out of the use of the Website shall be brought only before the Courts of Brussels.
