Data Protection Notice

The Information and Communication team of the T-FORS collects subscribers’ emails with the purpose of sending them the T-FORS Newsletter and informing them about the project’s activities. 

We process your personal data based on Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 27 April 2016 on the protection of natural persons with regard to the processing of personal data and on the free movement of such data, and repealing Directive 95/46/EC (General Data Protection Regulation).  

The following information is provided as established in Articles 15 and 16 of Regulation (EC) 2018/1725. 

Who is the controller?

The controller is the T-FORS Consortium. For more information on the T-FORS please consult our website: https://t-fors.eu.

What personal data do we process and who can access it?

We collect the email addresses of Newsletter subscribers. Members of the T-FORS Communication team have access to these email addresses on a need-to-know basis. The data is not transferred to third countries or international organisations. 

Where did we get your personal data?

Subscribers provide to T-FORS their email addresses when signing up online to receive the T-FORS Newsletter, thereby giving their consent.

Under what legal basis do we process your personal data? 

The T-FORS processes subscribers’ data under the following legal basis: consent.

Why do we process your personal data and under what legal basis? 

The processing of personal data serves the purpose of establishing a list of email addresses to which each issue of the Newsletter is sent. 

How long do we keep your personal data?

Subscribers’ email addresses are stored until a subscriber asks to be removed from the list. Subscribers can write to the Newsletter functional mailbox to ask to be unsubscribed from the Newsletter mailing list. Appropriate action is taken within a week of receiving the request. 

What are your rights regarding your personal data? 

You have the right of access to your personal data and to relevant information concerning how we use it. You have the right to rectify your personal data. Under certain conditions, you have the right to ask that we delete your personal data or restrict its use. You have the right to object to our processing of your personal data, on grounds relating to your particular situation, at any time. We will consider your request, take a decision and communicate it to you. You can send your request to the T-FORS contacting us (see section on contact details below). 

How to withdraw your consent and the consequences of doing this?

Subscribers can contact us (see section on contact details below) expressing their withdrawal of consent. Appropriate action will be taken within a week of receiving the request.
